What Is Earthquake?

Earthquake is a terrible kind of natural
calamity. When it occurs, everything got destroyed. In earthquake, earth shaken
in a terrible manner. A person can escape from any other natural calamity, but
can’t escape for earth quake. Its origin can be traced back to the early days
of earth formation. In ancient days, when earthquake used to occur, it was
think as might be mother earth is angry and that is why it is occurring. But
now scientist had done research, now its completely clear that it happens when
earth can’t tolerate pressure.
When in earth, lava take form that cause to make earth trouble, earth can not
tolerate the pressure, so earthquake occurs.
What is a fault?
Faults are fractures in Earth's crust where rocks on either side
of the crack have slid past each other. Sometimes the cracks are tiny, as thin
as hair, with barely noticeable movement between the rock layers. But faults
can also be hundreds of miles long.
At what depth do earthquakes
occur?
Earthquakes occur in the crust or upper mantle, which ranges
from the earth's surface to about 800 kilometers deep (about 500 miles).
How are earthquake recorded?
Earthquake
are recorded by an instrument called “Seismograph”. This instrument has a base
which is set into ground and a heavy weight that hangs free. When an earthquake
occurs, it also shaken up but do not got broken and record all the movement of
earthquake.
How
it is measured?
It
is measured by earthquake magnitude which is a measure of the size of the
earthquake sources, where the ground began shaking.
Devastation
When
earthquake happens, earth comes under a
terrible convulsion. Huge castle and building are shaken and it causes disaster
of buildings and death of life. In earthquake, earth shake violently, things
are tossed and people can not even move.
Within some seconds, beautiful cities
full of palatial building lie waste like a war ravaged country. The men who
were, a few minute ago, boasting of
their wealth and pride, are found moving about bagging bowls in their hands
Conclusion-
Earthquake
is not new to the world. It occurs within some span of time. It is very common in many parts of earth,
mostly it occurs in Hilly areas. Scientist are still trying to prevent, but
they can not even imagine that how much disaster it will made.
Now
lets talk about Nepal
Pokhra
State, Dated: 26th, every was going calmly, life was moving,
everyone was doing their work, some people were with there family or some
people were enjoying, children were playing, can say smoothen life. Sudden 7.9
magnitude earthquake came and made
everything ruined or can say opposite. It made Nepal ruined, the tremor was
also felt in many places of India too.
The death toll on Monday reached to 3,800. It is just In news but it must be more than that. Many people are injured.

The
historical building “Bhimsen Tower” also collapsed. Temples , castles
everything is ruined within few minutes of earthquake. Upto today, 100 shocks
have came in Nepal.
What
about those people who lose their life? Who lose their family? Who lose their
body parts? Nepal is already a poor country, such kind of earthquakes made that
more poor by heritage, by people , by life.
How
all will come over? What kind of life it is? Scientist are working and
developing many instruments but what when no one will be on earth because of
these kind of natural calamities. Its really terrible when we think about life.
None is safe, anything can happen any moment.
